Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,345m)
Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), you’ll be warmly greeted by our team and transferred to your hotel. Take time to relax or explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, Kathmandu’s bustling tourist hub. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali welcome dinner featuring authentic local cuisine. Day 02: Pre-trip Briefing & Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
After breakfast, set out for a guided tour of Kathmandu’s cultural and architectural gems, including Pashupatinath (a sacred Hindu temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Temperature & Weather
From March to October, Tibet experiences dry, sunny weather, though July and August see occasional rainfall. Daytime temperatures may rise to 22°C, but average around 10°C. The sun feels stronger at higher altitudes. At night, especially above 5,000 meters, temperatures can plummet to 0°C or even -15°C.
Fitness Level
This journey is graded moderate and does not require advanced fitness. Anyone with reasonable physical health and determination can join. However, travelers with cardiac or respiratory issues should consult their doctor. Regular walking, light jogging, and stretching before departure are highly recommended for added comfort during the trip.
Altitude Sickness
Ascending too quickly without proper acclimatization can lead to altitude sickness. To prevent this:
• Drink at least 4 liters of water daily
• Pace yourself and rest often
• Avoid overexertion, alcohol, and smoking
• Take prescribed preventive medications if recommended by your doctor
Symptoms include headache, nausea, dizziness, and breathlessness. If you experience any of these, stop and rest immediately.
Currency
The local currency in Tibet is the Yuan (CNY). One US dollar is approximately equivalent to six Yuan. Major foreign currencies can be exchanged at banks, and credit cards are accepted in larger towns.

Transportation
The package includes a Kathmandu–Lhasa flight. In Tibet, we use 4WD Land Cruisers or deluxe tourist coaches depending on group size. A support truck carries luggage, food, and camping gear.

A comprehensive trip orientation will be conducted in Kathmandu before departure to Tibet. Attendance is mandatory for all participants to ensure safety and preparedness.

A Tibet group visa is arranged prior to departure. For this, a passport copy must be submitted at least 30 days in advance. Non-Indian passport holders will need to hand over passports in Kathmandu for processing. Passports must have a minimum validity of six months.
