Top Benefits:

  • No hiking boots needed – reach the peaks without lifting a foot.
  • Excellent value – lower cost than a full trek with gear and guides.
  • Inclusive for all – suitable for the elderly, children, or those with mobility issues.
  • Perfect for solo travelers – safe, quick, and unforgettable.
  • Ample time for photos and videos at the landing site.
  • Best option for layovers or short Nepal visits (Tibet/Bhutan transits, business trips, etc.).

Useful Information

How the Langtang Helicopter Tour Operates

The Langtang Helicopter Excursion begins at the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

Upon arrival, our ground staff will assist you with documentation procedures, followed by a safety briefing and pre-flight orientation. The helicopter lifts off in the early morning for a 30-minute flight to the heart of the Himalayas.

Flying above the lush hills of Kathmandu and heading northward, the route mirrors the Langtang Valley Trek, offering a panoramic bird’s-eye view of forested ridges, glacial rivers, and snow-capped summits.

In under two hours, this aerial exploration of Langtang concludes with a return flight to Kathmandu, segmented into three exciting phases:

Phase 1: Scenic Flight to Kyanjin Valley

Departing from Kathmandu, the helicopter glides past the towering Shiva Statue at Sanga, before entering Langtang National Park, a biodiversity haven covering 1,710 sq. km.

En route, we traverse the districts of Nuwakot, Rasuwa, and Sindhupalchok, flying over verdant valleys and terraced hillsides. Within approximately 45 minutes, we touch down at Kyanjin Valley, with steaming coffee and towering mountains awaiting your arrival.

Phase 2: Stopover at Kyanjin Gompa

Upon landing, you’ll be welcomed by vibrant Buddhist prayer flags fluttering in the crisp mountain air.

The first spectacle is the awe-inspiring Langtang Himalayan range, followed by a short exploration of Kyanjin village and its historic monastery.

Kyanjin Gompa, a centuries-old Buddhist shrine built in traditional Himalayan architecture, houses 13 sacred statues of Lord Buddha, believed to represent the Dhomares lineage.

You’ll also visit the Kyanjin Cheese Factory, renowned for its local yak cheese, and enjoy an optional mountain breakfast at a teahouse surrounded by pristine alpine views.

Phase 3: Optional Flight to Gosaikunda or Return to Kathmandu

Based on your chosen itinerary, the tour continues with either:

  • A 30-minute extended flight to the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, a revered pilgrimage site,
    OR
  • A direct return to Kathmandu, taking roughly 25 minutes.

The tour concludes with a private drive back to your hotel and memories of a once-in-a-lifetime journey.
